Christian so far has had a good day today, he has been smiling and playing around with us. He had therapy this morning so that wore him out.
We had our cleaning lesson today for the trach it will definitely be a two person job one to hold the trach in place and one to do the actual cleaning/changing. It wasnt to scary but then again we are in the hospital so we had help if would have needed it. They want us to do it his weekend on our own to get use to doing so. Then on Tuesday we will have our final lesson on how to change it out so that should be fun.
Looks like he will be transported home by an ambulance at some point next week. We have to finish our trach training and then do our homecare training for the new equipment. So hopefully things will go as they are planning.

- Christian was dx with a brain tumor in Oct. 2005 ten days after his 2nd bday. Since then he has been through 3 brain surgeries for tumor removal,radiation and chemo twice. He was a tough little guy and fought as long and hard as he could but he earned my wings on March 23rd 2008 easter sunday, He just could not fight any longer. You are gone our sweet boy but never FORGOTTEN! We love and miss you with all our hearts. Forever 4.

Thank you for sharing those wonderful pictures - you are all still in our prayers - we have loved having Johnny, John and Jennine home but it's been a rough week for them. Johnny does enjoy taking rides in "Mima's truck" (my car) so I have been able to take him out for rides - Friday night was a 2 hour drive to give the kids a break - Amy have a wonderful mother's day - you are doing an amazing job - our prayers continue always for Christian
