Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the STEPHAN-BURNS FUNERAL HOME INC, 266 East St. at Austin. Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at The University United Methodist Church, 410 Minnesota Ave, Buffalo, NY. In lieu of or in addition to flowers donations may be made to The Christian Showers Memorial Garden Fund.

We're so sorry, and we'll miss him so much! Olivia is very sad that her friend is gone. I'll always remember him as my "practice kid" before we got Olivia, and how very often he would leave our house wearing pink pants because he got his dirty or wet. He was such a sweet boy, and so very brave to endure all that he did with a smile. I just know that he's up in heaven now, playing with the angels, and holding a chapstick.

Dear Amy, Darren and Carter.
I am Cheryl Hoages' grandmother. I never had the pleasure of meeting any of you but I followed the brief life of precious little Christian through Cheryl. She always informed me about his condition, treatments etc. I have been praying for Christian from the on set of his illness. I will continue to pray for him, you and all your family. I pray that God will grant each of you the strength to see you through this very difficult time. Please rest in the knowledge that Christian is now at home and safe in the arms of Jesus.

Dear Amy and Darren and all the family- I will be thinking of you tomorrow. I wish there were a way to make it easier. It was so much easier when all I needed to do was come up with something to make Christian smile. I miss doing that.
Do you remember the day we went down the hall to see someone else and when we came back he was mad at us and pouting and he let us know it too!!! But it didnt take long for us to get him giving us his beautiful smile again. I promise you, I will never foget that grin which could be absolutely wicked at times and his expressive eyes!!

I cannot even begin to understand your sorrow. Please try to gain some comfort in knowing how profoundly Christian has touched my life. That little guy wrapped himself right around my heart and didn't let go! I'm a better person because of him. He has taught me so much about strength, determination, courage, and love! When I think of Christian, I will smile and remember his crooked grin, his angry (yet beautiful) faces he made, his chapstick, and (of course) his array of watches!! I will miss him dearly but he will NEVER be forgotten.
